ABSTRACT
In this selection Sullivan critically examines contentions pertaining to the transformation of world politics in terms of actors, issues, interdependence, and force. While acknowledging change and the importance of continuing re-evaluation of the makeup of the contemporary world, Sullivan suggests that world affairs today are characterized more by continuity than by discontinuity.
