ABSTRACT
A small flock of Barbados Blackbelly sheep was formed in 1971 on the G. M. Spurlock ranch at Dixon, California. The sheep were purchased in Texas and privately maintained by Spurlock. Dixon is located at 38° N and is one of the northernmost locations for which data have been reported on the Barbados Blackbelly breed.
