ABSTRACT
As a student of French literature, you have something in common with students majoring in sociology, theater arts, English, anthropology, and the other social sciences and humanities: an innate distrust and fear of libraries, reference rooms, and term paper research. Eminently understandable, but also curable. You do receive some counsel from professors and reference librarians, but all too frequently, the advice comes too late to be of great usefulness.
