ABSTRACT
Because industrial technology was at the whipping post, it was not surprising that Henri Schramek, a member of the executive committee of Ciba-Geigy, Ltd. (Switzerland), made a strong defense of the ethical behavior and social responsibility displayed by industry. He concentrated on the ways in which the chemical industry is dealing with matters of environmental protection.
