ABSTRACT

In the modern world, technology forcefully changes everything in our well known areas rapidly. This inevitable change also affects the processes, attitudes, relations, competitions and many other things that are well known. Today’s competitive market and technological advancement era forces us to change and this change affects human beings both women and men indiscriminately. Also the service sector and the related activities are affected by the same changes. The main purpose of this study in general is to determine how women’s empowerment will be achieved by the support of the service sector activities from the point of tourism knowledge. According to Coleman (2010): “When women are educated and can earn and control income, a number of good results follow: infant mortality declines, child health and nutrition improve, agricultural productivity rises, population growth slows, economies expand, and cycles of poverty are broken.” In this the study, the related subject will be examined theoretically within a literature view. The study will also review research related to the improvement of woman empowerment, and the ways in which ideals of woman empowerments have been implemented in different countries will be highlighted and discussed.
