1–102 The sin of Adam and Eve is made known in Heaven (–16). The angelic guards of Eden return to Heaven (–21) where there is general displeasure (–33). God exculpates and heartens the angels (–47), then commands the Son to go and pass judgement on Adam and Eve (–62). The Son claims the right to mitigate the judgement (–84). He goes to Eden, where Adam and Eve hide from him (–102).
