ABSTRACT
Chapter 4 explores the impact of ontological and epistemological perspectives on research results on gender, race, identity, indigeneity, and diversity (GRIID). Ontological positions and epistemological perspectives are required to formulate theories in qualitative studies and understand the basis for testing theories when conducting quantitative studies.
