ABSTRACT

The greatest collection of treaties was begun by Von Martens between 1790 and 1801, 1 Martens was a professor at Göttingen, and later Hanoverian Minister Plenipotentiary at the Germanic Diet. Martens took the year 1761 as his starting point. His work was carried on by others after his death, and a continuation of the Recueil still appears.
