ABSTRACT

In the March of 1884, Sister Teresa Eletta was really very seriously ill, but she endeavoured to calm the anxiety of her beloved father by telling him about all the loving care that was lavished upon her: “I cannot tell you and you cannot imagine with what affectionate solicitude your daughter is overwhelmed. During my bad nights I have been watched by some good sisters in turn. During the day when the pain makes me tired and restless the good mothers try and gladden me by their presence, preparing my food with their own hands.
