ABSTRACT

This chapter offers critical insights into the teacher educator participants. These insights include salient details of their age groups, gender, academic and vocational/occupational qualifications, previous occupational roles and experiences, and indications of their professional identities. The chapter covers the salient details of the participants. Using the appropriate imageries, the details concerning gender, age groupings, first and other languages, academic and professional qualifications, present and past jobs, and professional identities are covered. The chapter provides overviews of the teacher educator participants' profiles. Nearly three-quarters of the participants were females, and the same percentage were in their 50s and older. Unsurprisingly, 80 per cent were born in the United Kingdom, and a similar per cent of people had English as their first language. Of the other languages, the European languages French, German, and Spanish are the most popular which account for over 50 per cent of the languages used.
