ABSTRACT
The delicacies that Krebs had brought from Irkutsk lasted over the New Year, after which we returned to our two daily meals of meat, though we improved it by a daily variation. In the mornings we ate boiled meat and soup, and in the evenings we roasted the meat and omitted the soup.
