ABSTRACT

VANET has been the focus of research in recent years. The main application of VANET is to improve road safety and reduce traffic accidents. In addition, VANET can also reduce the time for the rescue vehicle to arrive at the accident location. However, the transmitted messages are vulnerable to unauthorized access, affect the efficiency of rescue, and even threaten the privacy of the injured. Therefore, it will be important to provide a protected communication protocol for ambulances during the rescue process. In this study, we propose a secure ambulance communication protocol in VANET through a cryptography mechanism. The proposed scheme can not only protect the privacy of the injured, but also provide instant traffic information for ambulances during the rescue process. Our proposed scheme achieves data integrity, user anonymity, user untraceability, forward and backward secrecy, and resistance to replay attack.
