ABSTRACT

With the rapid development of modern technology in information and communication technology, Location-Based Services (LBS) have been widely used to make life more intelligent and convenient. Indoor positioning technology plays an important role in LBS by providing more service applications. In wireless indoor positioning systems, however, signals are affected by environmental noise during transmission. Therefore, to avoid the problem of interference and improve the accuracy of indoor positioning, we propose in this paper a beacon-based indoor positioning system consisting of fingerprint positioning method, improved Weighted K-nearest Neighbor (WKNN) algorithm, and cutting fingerprint map.
