ABSTRACT
This paper talks about the application of lacquer thread sculpture in colored silk figure, provides a brief analysis on the combination of lacquer thread sculpture in silk figure and the production of various silk figures by “Qingyuan Colored Silk Store,” and highlights the uniqueness of silk figures made by “Qingyuan Colored Silk Store” in Zhao’an County. They have clarified the relationship between different applications of lacquer threads in various festive lanterns, helmets, kermis, and other silk figure crafts; learned the strengths of other arts and crafts on the basis of inheritance of the one-thousand-year-old silk figure craft to enrich its content and fill gaps; and explored new techniques to manifest the characteristics of local folk culture and endow it with new culture value and connotation as well as create new aesthetic orientation.
