ABSTRACT
The Count of Rodes was very clever and very noble and he was a composer of songs. Sir Uc de Saint Circ composed this stanza about him: My Lord Count, it is not worth your while to be upset About me, nor to be worried, For I have not in any way come to you begging Or to ask for anything at all. I have all that I need And it is you I see in need of money. This is why I have no reason in my heart to ask for anything And would on the contrary be doing an act of mercy if I gave you a little something!
