ABSTRACT
The article explores the use of advanced engineering solutions for shell-type and ground-reinforced bank protection structures, that allow for construction on weak soils and for minimum impact on water catchment area. It further presents theoretical and numerical rationales for the foundation engineering solutions, as well as the bank protection engineering technologies.
