ABSTRACT
The processes of social and political regeneration all over China in our own times work in all the countries of Asia; and to serve and direct these processes a surprising group of leaders has been Vouchsafed. Two of them have supremely embodied the greatest need of our continent, that moral prestige shall ever dominate high political acumen, whatever the diverse ways by which national regenerations are being worked out. As a devoted follower of Sun Yat-sen I count it a privilege to offer my word of homage to Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of his seventieth birthday.
