ABSTRACT

Rapid onset of industrialization in the past few decades has led to the high generation of industrial waste. The generation of industrial waste has caused detrimental environmental problems globally. Urbanization increasing in the human population among the world is the major cause of the production more waste. The produced industrial waste can be in any form—solid, liquid or gaseous—and can be divided into various categories. Improper disposal of the generated industrial waste has accelerated the greater menace to the earth. Hence, there has been an urgent need for the management of industrial waste. Hence the treatment as well as disposal of industrial waste is of utmost importance. Various industrial management measures have been adopted by various countries individually or as a whole for the minimization or regulation of industrial waste. A two-tier approach of prevention as well as control is often considered a sensible approach. Therefore, the waste management measures can only lead to a better and healthy environment.
