ABSTRACT

We refer to an effort to work through the trauma of the Holocaust through publications changing the official narrative of Second World War, as well as the activities of psychotherapists centered around the Polish-Israeli Mental Health Association. We also present the workshop which took place at the conference of psychotherapists in Poland. The aim of the workshop was, through participants' own experiences, to confront the attitude to the Holocaust. The participants read excerpts from the accounts relating to the Holocaust - victims, perpetrators and bystanders. In the second part of the workshop, participants were reflecting on the experience in the Large Group. The analysis of the process taking place in society and the workshop experience shows the readiness to face the "grandparents'" guilt. This will allow the process of mourning to begin.
