ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on the Asian Indoors Games. First it goes through a brief historical review of the development of the Asian Indoor Games. Second, this chapter chooses two particular sport programmes, martial arts and e-sport, to examine the role of the Asian Indoor Games and the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in promoting these sport programmes. Third, this chapter discusses the impact of the Asian Indoor Games on hosting cities and proposes future research focuses and directions.
