ABSTRACT
The story of the Arcata Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary is one of multidimensional resource utilization and the opportunities afforded when space, regardless of its context, is valued and imaginative actions taken to capitalize on those opportunities. The story also shows how a 30-year period of fruitful collaboration among many individuals and forward-thinking agencies can produce a pioneering and award-winning project.
