ABSTRACT

Generally, the company’s antidiscrimination policy should be clear and easily understood, treat all employees fairly and consistently, provide a guideline as to what behavior is expected by management, and offer a clear method through which complaints and allegations are handled in a conŸdential manner. All levels of exempt and nonexempt personnel should receive training as to each and every aspect of the company policy, and this training should be conducted on at least an annual basis. Managerial employees should be provided additional training and education as to the speciŸc expectations of the company in handling employee complaints of discrimination or harassment, as well as training in identifying and stopping possible discrimination and harassment in the workplace.
