ABSTRACT
The leaders of the industry in the various sectors are formulating their mobile strategies considering the current trends in the field of consumer smartphones, enterprise mobile applications, tablet personal computers, and slates, which are the preferred choice of people. Mobile security solutions have become a booming industry now. Consulting services are seeing an increase in demand among organizations that seek assistance in formulating strategies for their mobility operations at an enterprise level and also in determining the right kind of mobile devices and technology platforms. The mobile phone has acquired a new definition as the digital identity of a person. It is the digital signature of a person, which tightly associates the mobile device and the subscriber identity module card with the user's credentials. Smartphones are no longer phones but full-fledged mobile computers running an operating system and powerful applications. Depending on the enterprise requirements, a suitable security model needs to be defined for the mobile devices and mobile applications.
