ABSTRACT

This method consists of injecting at a point in the river a volume V of a tracer solution of C1 concentration. The sampling is done at a sufficient distance downstream so that the tracer has properly mixed with the river water, and throughout the time duration T that the tracer is flowing. The sampling is carried out at several points in the sampling section in order to provide an average value of the concentration C2 which

changes as a function of time and the location of the sampling point.
