Nontocolytic Interventions in PTL Bed Rest Bed rest has never been tested in an RCT in singleton gestations complicated by PTL or PPROM. In twin pregnancies with cervical dilatation, bed rest in the hospital did not decrease PTB in one trial in Zimbabwe (29).
