ABSTRACT
As already mentioned in Chapter 1, statistical tests are the focus of this book.
However, the topics of estimation and confidence intervals are also important
for nonparametric models. In this chapter these topics are briefly discussed.
There are several further methods not considered in this chapter, for exam-
ple, the nonparametric confidence intervals for one-and two-sample problems
introduced by Zhou (2005).
