ABSTRACT
In Indiana, the Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning (OMPP), which is a division of the Indiana Family and Social Service Administration, administers the state Medicaid program. The creation and development of the new Indiana Medicaid website is a good first step in providing a solid foundation for the OMPP to communicate its policies and messages on the web, from reinforcing the intended messages to providing an accessible platform with the utilized technology. After conducting the analysis of the existing landscape, and understanding what the OMPP was envisioning as possible solutions, the team began to work on creating the future state of IndianaMedicaid.com. The OMPP typically would contact the existing technology vendor regarding needed website changes, and would go through a change control process that involved analysis of cost, effort, and requirements development as well as following a release schedule.
