ABSTRACT
The sense of touch is instrumental for understanding the physical world surrounding us. The last decade has seen significant advance in the development of haptic interface. However, methods for implementation of haptic interface are still in their early stage. Compared to visual and auditory displays, haptic interfaces have not been widely used in our daily life. This chapter discuss issues and solutions in the design of haptic devices.
