ABSTRACT
While we assume basic vector algebra, Maxwell’s equations in differential form, as presented in Chapter 2, are defined on vector fields. In this appendix, we give a brief account of the basic gradient, divergence, and curl operators, as well as vector integration and differentiation. An introduction of vector calculus in the context of Maxwell’s equations can be found in Div, Grad, Curl, and All That [1004].
