ABSTRACT

In this epilog, I make some remarks on the position of elementary particle physics in relation to other branches of science and on the place of science in the human quest for knowledge. Up to now, I have tried to be as objective as possible and to represent nothing as certain that will not be regarded as certain in 100 years. This concluding chapter, however, will be subjective.
