ABSTRACT
This chapter describes experiments with using CGEN to build M l’s knowledge base. The experiments were conducted to verify that CGEN could effectively capture expertise from hardware designers and translate it into an Ml-usable form. M l’s use of the generated knowledge was verified using a separate set of experiments described in the next chapter. The descriptions here cover both the experimental process and the results. Note that the data presented in this chapter refers to the state of Ml and CGEN during the experimental period.
