ABSTRACT
A brief introduction along with the general organization of this book is given in this chapter. In Chapter 2, a brief introduction of mathematical morphology, which is crucial to understand the techniques employed in subsequent chapters, is given in an easy-to-understand manner. In Chapters 4 through 8, several data sets have been used to demonstrate numerous techniques. The specifications of those data sets have been provided in Chapter 3.
