ABSTRACT

It’s no wonder that attempts to bring together the two worlds were soon proposed by different manufacturers, hoping to make their products valuable to anybody needing something for both serious working applications as well as for some recreational time. For example, expansion modules featuring an Intel 8088 CPU to provide the performance of an XT series PC running MS-DOS were developed for the Amiga in the late eighties and even a two-in-one system produced by IBM for Sega named TeraDrive was released in Japan in 1991.
