Probing DNA and RNA Interactions with Biogenic and Synthetic Polyamines: Models and Biological Implications

In this chapter, we report the applications of several analytical methods and the molecular modeling to determine the binding sites of biogenic and synthetic polyamines on DNA and tRNA. The analytical methods evaluated here are capillary electrophoresis, Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR), UV-Visible, circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopic techniques, as well as molecular modeling.
