ABSTRACT

Speci•c biosensor surfaces with immobilized nucleic acids can be created in a hydrophilic matrix on a thin layer of gold for surface plasmon resonance detection that responds to mass changes. Nucleic acids linked to the hydrophilic layer respond in real time to binding events for kinetic and equilibrium analysis.
