ABSTRACT
Some separations which cannot be made by machines can be made by hand, on hand-picking tables. The picking table or belt moves a one-seed layer of seed slowly down the belt; operators stationed on both sides of the moving belt watch the seed, and identify and remove any visibly different or undesirable particles and seed (Figures 35.1, 35.2).
