ABSTRACT

Polychlorinated naphthalenes (PCNs) are industrial chemicals and known as persistent organic pollutants [1-4], consisting of two fused aromatic rings substituted with one to eight chlorine atoms, forming a total of 75 possible congeners with different physical and chemical properties (Figure 10.1 and Table 10.1). PCNs are structurally similar to polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs).
