ABSTRACT
The term ecology, proposed in 1866 by the German biologist Haeckel, denotes the study of relations of living things with their environment Etymologically, it combines the Greek words oikos and logos and signifies the science of the habitat. In fact, ecology aims to establish the laws regulating not only relationships between living things and their physicochemical environments, but also relationships that develop between organisms.
