ABSTRACT
Until about ten thousand years ago, mankind was roaming in the forests, hunting animals and gathering fruits for his survival. Then he started domesticating some of the wild plants that were growing in his surroundings. That was the beginning of agriculture. Almost during the same period, he started domesticating some of the wild animals that were roaming around him and that was the beginning of animal husbandry. He gradually started selecting better kinds of these plants and and that is how he started plant breeding though he was not aware of it. He did the same thing for his animals as well.
