ABSTRACT
It was dark when Goodman and Johanna arrived back in Frankfurt. He had driven the first half, she the sec ond, but the trip had been difficult. Traffic was often heavy and with each delay, Johanna would begin sob bing. As much as she was upset by the death of her brother-in-law, she was also very concerned about the emotional well-being of her sister, now left alone with two small children.
