ABSTRACT

Chris Taylor (Figure 13.1) is one of the leading designers in computer games. He was born in Canada and started working at Distinctive Software in British Columbia in the late 1980s. While there, he designed his first game HardBall II in 1989, which won an award from the Software Publishers Association for the best sports game of the year. He went on to design The Duel: Test Drive II in 1989 and 4-D Boxing in 1991 for Distinctive Software. After that company was acquired by Electronic Arts in 1991 and renamed EA Canada, Chris designed Triple Play 96 in 1995.
