ABSTRACT
This chapter explains COLLADA core technology choices such as XML, XML Schema, URI, and addressing mechanism. Then it presents the COLLADA document and its core elements: <COLLADA> , <asset> , and libraries. It ends with a discussion about XML text versus binary encoding.
