ABSTRACT
Dorothy and I set off for Europe so that I could learn and do mathematics there. We left Gretchen and Cynthia in Norwalk with my mother Winifred and Marjorie; because of this, we missed some of their early development, but we knew they were in good hands. We sailed to Europe on the Steamship De Grasse.
