ABSTRACT

In this chapter, seven software packages that can be used for the evaluation of informative hypotheses are presented. The main features of each package are presented in Table 9.1. The following abbreviations are used for software packages: CONFA denotes ConfirmatoryANOVA, GMD denotes GenMVLData, CONTIN denotes ContingencyTable, and WB denotes WinBUGS. The following abbreviations are used for statistical models: UNLM/MNLM denotes univariate/multivariate normal linear model, CONTIN denotes contingency table analysis, GLM denotes generalized linear models, GMM denotes generalized mixed models, and GEN denotes statistical models in general. The entry Y denotes that an option is available in the software package at hand. The entry ? denotes that the option will further be discussed in the section dealing with the software package at hand.
