ABSTRACT
Today, the elds of safety, human factors, quality, and reliability are wellestablished disciplines. A large number of publications in the form of journal articles, conference proceedings articles, technical reports, and books on each of these disciplines have appeared. These publications include many new concepts and methods. Some of the methods developed in these elds are being used across many diverse disciplines including engineering design, manufacturing, and management.
