ABSTRACT
ArtiŽcial intelligence (AI) is an area of computer science that deals with different techniques, which makes the machine intelligent. Human beings utilize intelligence to make their lives easy and achieve intended goals. The basic inspiration of the Želd of AI is to mimic human-like decision-making process. It is observed that natural intelligence has characteristics like responding quickly and ¤exibly, identifying similarity in dissimilar situation and vice versa, and following nonalgorithmic and symbolic approach of problem solving. The goal of AI is to achieve intelligence through machine-readable techniques. The Želd of AI has been an attraction for researchers since the evolution of computers and other machines. Various techniques have been identiŽed that try to achieve natural intelligence. The majority of AI solutions offer good and acceptable solutions using practical heuristics instead of aiming toward best solution.
