ABSTRACT

The Web mining includes (i) web content mining, which refers to actual data and/or information stored on different locations of the Web. These include every resource on the Web that users can visit fully or partially; (ii) web structure mining, which examines organizations of the content through tags deŽned in hypertext markup language (HTML), extensible markup language (XML), or resource description framework (RDF); and (iii) web usage/log mining, which describes behavior of the Web users, references of pages and location, browser information, agents mobility, if any, as well as internet protocol (IP)-address-related information. Web mining helps in managing large volume of web content efŽciently, Žnds appropriate content intelligently, and analyzes web usage patterns for future use.
