trochanter of the femur. • Usual innervation: Branches of the femoral nerve (Raven 1950, Gibbs 1999). Psoas major (Figs. 59, 60) • Usual attachments: From the ilium and T12, as well as from all lumbar vertebrae
and, at least sometimes, also from S1 according to the literature review of Gibbs (1999); to the lesser trochanter of the femur.
