ABSTRACT

In the last several years, patients have increasingly sought efficacious treatments with minimal downtime and lower risk for post-procedure complications; as a result, nonablative laser resurfacing modalities have largely replaced ablative treatments. The goal of nonablative laser rejuvenation is to reverse or minimize as many of the signs of aging as possible. Fundamentally, this requires multiple therapeutic modalities, as each treatment targets different clinical imperfections ( 6 ). These laser therapies have emerged as a promising alternative for facial rejuvenation, and are at present one of the most commonly performed cosmetic procedures in the United States.
