ABSTRACT

About 70% of the human body consists of water, and it contains about one-

third of the concentration of seawater minerals. This fact means that the

internal milieu of the human body, as well as of many other animals, has an

internal sea within the body, derived from the long history of evolution of life

on this earth. This fact is important to medical doctors caring for patients,

because patients lose water through the kidney, combined with metabolic

waste products, in order to maintain homeostasis.
